When we began to think about a series of bolder beers with higher alcohol content we wanted to elucidate it to our consumers. Therefore, we call this series of beer Thurbo. Our neighboring village is called Turbo and we chose to go with the old spelling of that village. We’ve used big amounts of munchener malt that contributes with a malt sweetness and a touch of biscuitness. The residual sweetness takes the edges of the high alcohol content and the bitterness. The hop varieties lend a mixed bag of grape and citrus with slight herbal elements.
